Sunday Funday @ Brooklyn Heights
Day 5, five shows in five days. Sunday Funday was a great cap to the tour, all the Brooklyn Heights family came out to barbecue and show their love once again. We split
the bill with Sleep Control, a very talented rock trio local to Raleigh. Jacob came through
delivering a great vocal performance despite almost totally losing it from the past shows.
We were very worn down by Sunday, but the love we received from all our family in
Raleigh made the show real special. We played so loud that the mothafreakin cops came
and tried to shut us down! Haters...
Check the tour page for more dates as Treetop Sailors are looking to visit the Southeast
very soon!
3-19-11 Raleigh, NC
Brooklyn Heights
Day 4, Brooklyn Heights was our next stop, and the show we were looking forward to
the most. Our last visit to Brooklyn was a really crazy and fun night, and it’s a great
bar with great vibes all around. Our good friend and Engineer Dave Arnold came from
his home in Elizabethton, TN to check out the show and hang with us. He even came
with us to Guitar Center and helped us pick out a PA system! You’re the man Dave.
Nick and C Fade were locking into the groove like bread on butter for both sets. By
the time “Weyside” went into full explosion, the bar reached ear-piercing volumes, We
encored again with “Traveling Riverside Blues.”
3-18-11 Wilmington, NC
Calico Room
Day 3, sunny and 80 degrees outside we made our trek down the highway to the beach.
It was our second visit to Wilmington as well, the first visit was quite enjoyable with the
bomb pre-show oyster party that our friends Marcus and JD put together for us. It was
our second time at the Calico Room, we rocked two sets and received a great turnout
from some former fans and tourists stumbling in. Big thanks to the Calico Room for
having us back, if you are ever in the Wilmington area make sure to check it out, it’s a
great club with some sweet artwork and local live music on the weekends.
3-17-11 Raleigh, NC
Brewmasters
Day 2 we were off to the beloved Raleigh, NC. We were real pumped to be back,
after having recorded our debut album there in early January. It was our first time at
Brewmasters, and we were looking forward to rocking two sets on St. Patty’s day. Many
friends from our last visit to Raleigh came out to support. Jelly was decked out in the his
riddler outfit, and C Fade rocked the green tophat with the shades. We even got to sell a
few of our fresh Treetop Sailor T-shirts, big thanks to our brother Rock for hooking it up!
3-16-11 Asheville, NC
Garage @ Biltmore
We were very excited to kick off the tour in Asheville, NC, home to the beautiful Blue
Ridge Mountains, a very vibrant town in music and the arts. The Garage @ Biltmore is
well known in the Asheville area for showcasing upcoming artists as well as touring acts
in folk music. On Wednesday night they got a little taste of some fierce rockin’ blues.
We kicked off the night with a brand new tune “Get Back” which is not on our current
album, but will be breaking sound barriers on our next album. It was a real energetic
night all around, and we were all feeling great to be playing for Jelly’s friends and family,
who were eager to get a taste of the Sailors. We encored the night with the Zeppelin
classic “Traveling Riverside blues.”
3-15-11 Atlanta, GA
WE GOT A TRAILER!!!! We took a drive down to Newnan, GA and our man Jeff at
Trailers For Less hooked it up! It’s even got a side door and a light in the inside. We call
it The Black Pearl.
